I had the most amazing trip to NY last week. I go there pretty often, 10 times a year maybe now, and work work work. It was special this week in the media empire, as there was a lot of buzz about Time Magazine’s person of the year, YOU. Yep, the connectivity of the people was the real story. Gusto is playing a part in that. So voice up, learn, share, and create better experiences.

I had a great dinner at a place called DaSilvanos, and met some fascinating people, Celia and John. They, astutely, but not so directly, asked me if I was a real traveler or just creating a web site for travelers, and unequivocally, I am a traveler. It is easier now for me to stay a better hotel than when I was young, or go to a nice place for dinner, to be sure, but I have always loved the experiences of being somewhere else. The first two days I had a very hectic work schedule, and just decided to stay one more day to be traveler. I took the subway from the offices in Midtown to the end of the line downtown, walked around Battery Park at Sunset to view Lady Liberty, then made my way to Ground Zero again to pay my respects. I kept walking, up through downtown, the west village, all the way back to Midtown. A little 5 hour retreat just to see what I could see. I’ve found and enjoyed these experiences my whole life, and along the way found others who share that joy of travel, of living, of doing it with Gusto!
