Jeremiah Donovan's

Good Taverny Food

This is another good place to get together with a few friends. The menu is a little short, but what they do make they make pretty well. They have burgers, clubs, Reuben’s nachos, soups, salads, apps. It’s a pretty cool bar-ish place, it’s really historic, they have photos of boxers from the early 1900’s all over the wall, and I think the seating is original too, which is kinda neat. Even the windows haven’t changed, because it’s so old they still have a “Seating For Ladies” painted on it. Prices are reasonable, but it’s easy to run up a bill when you have people ordering beer. When I go with people we sometimes hit Caffeine right across the street for some coffee. Can’t really write anything fun or witty about Donavans, I have no amusing stories, but it’s just a good place to gather, and that’s usually all you need to know.

Hey everyone! I’m sorry to report this wonderful establishment is closing! I believe they are renovating it, but I cannot be sure, because there is a tiny little sign that says the closing date with "1889-2006"" on it. How sad! This place as been open for such along time! I mean, okay, the menu hasn’t changed for years and it’s a bit small, but they did what they did have pretty well! Don’t know what’s gonna replace it.
