Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium

quote:

With eight million gallons of water and more than 100,000 animals, the Georgia Aquarium is the world’s largest aquarium. You can watch playful sea otters frolic about, check out the always-cute penguins or gaze in awe at the aquarium’s whale sharks, Ralph and Norman. Whale sharks are the world’s largest fish – they can grow to the size of a Greyhound bus – and Ralph and Norton are the only whale sharks on display outside of Asia. Kiddies get a kick out of the touch tanks, where they can pet stingrays and sharks, and everyone seems to love the Beluga whales. There’s a food court in the middle of everything, and if you have little ones with you, you’ll probably need the break; you could spend hours here. Plan ahead to get tickets – they’re set for specific times, and Georgia Aquarium frequently sells out.
