Buckhead

Buckhead

quote:

Buckhead is the high-end shopping, drinking, and dining area in Atlanta.  For a slice of exquisite retail heaven, you can explore one or both of the shopping malls situated directly across the street from one another.  There’s Lenox Square Mall and the very posh Phipps Plaza.  You can frame your own artwork yourself at BA Framer or decorate your home with contemporary pieces from Huff Furniture. For dining, stop into the Milan Mediterranean Bistro and Grill for exquisite made-from-scratch soups, pasta dishes, and desserts such as crème brule and cappuccino mousse cake.  Not in the mood for Mediterranean food?  Check out Meritage for American food or Dante’s Down the Hatch, whose fondue is to die for. Want to see a band up close and almost personal?  Buckhead’s the place to go. The Roxy Concert Hall is a great venue to catch some of the great up and coming bands of all genres in a small and intimate location.  Another theater to check out is the Showbox, a mix of drinking, modern dance, and Vegas. What Buckhead’s really famous for, though, is its party spots.  From salsa to seventies, you can find the bar or nightclub to suit your every mood.  Some clubs even change their own mood from night to night, such as the Celebrity Rock Café, a club that offers hip-hop one night, meringue another, and R&B the next.
