Hibachi
Great food
I first ate here 20-22 years ago, and it was the first Japanese steakhouse I'd visited. The filet mignon here is simply superb. I'm not so much into the whole show of preparing the food, and I really don't like the idea of chefs tossing food at your head (perhaps they don't do that anymore?), but the food here is great, and if you have kids, they'll probably get a kick of of the show the chefs do.
My college roommates and I encountered a very well dressed, somewhat intimidating man here in the late '80s who strongly implied, as we were discussing the Kansas City mafia, that we ought not discuss such things so loudly and so publicly. He scared us to death, and we truly believed he was, indeed, a made man. We were bouncing off each other like ducks in a shooting gallery trying to get to the other side of the bar in a hurry.
