Foley House Inn Bed and Breakfast
Simply wonderful
When I visit Savannah, I usually stay at the Foley Inn or the Gastonian. The Foley Inn is romantic and cozy, and pretty much every visit I’ve had here has been perfect (how many places can you say that about?!). All the public rooms and guest rooms are lovely; my favorite guest rooms are the Stafford and the Suffolk. The chef here is amazing; I’m not a morning person and I’m not a breakfast person (a latte is really all I need before noon), but I’ll get up early every morning for the incredible breakfasts here. You can also get a picnic breakfast; take it out to one of the beautiful squares in the historic district, or go over to Tybee Island for breakfast in the sand. The historic district is what makes Savannah wonderful, and great bed and breakfasts like the Foley Inn are really the only places you should stay when you visit to truly experience the gracious, genteel nature of the South.
