e-Bay-ing

What are your feelings about e-Bay? I have sort of a love/hate thing going on myself. I love all the brandnew things I can get for my young grandsons, but I hate wanting an item so bad, bidding on it, and starting to win it, only to lose in the end!

A while back, I wanted a set of these Bible books, but kept losing! I finally bid on the one volume on Jesus' life!

I am now wanting to buy my daughter some decent maternity jeans…..and I keep being outbid! I'm...

Christmasd dinner, etc.

I  couldn't figure what to make for Christmas (food, that is). For thanksgiving I made a terrky enchilada (my creation), but it lacked the festivities flair. This tuesday, I found a 9" collander…which is great for me since it's not humongus. So I'm gonna make a tofu turkey. That way I can also make the traditional holiday yummies (sweet potatoes, stuffing, whole cranberry sauce). I also bought a pumkin last month and cooked it up this...

Pondering

I just read an e-mail from Gusto naming mine as the "best Blogger of the Week." WOW, There must not be many blogs here! heehee I haven't written anything in a while. I've been busy with birthdays and gifts, etc., and have thus been on e-bay a lot! But my next gift is due the end of January, so I have some time.

Dehydrating

Today was shopping day (yea…) I have a lot to do now. First I’m going to dry some tomatoes, bananas, and pineapple. Have you ever tried dried bananas? The first time I did, they were store bought and really disgusting. Years later, a friend told me that they are really good homemade. So I tried thrm, and he was right! If you can, you should try them too! I’m going to be using the Ronco one today, but I’d prefer the American Harvest.

...And

I forgot to mention about the smoothie that it’s a half a box only when it’s for 1 or 2. If I have thes boys over, I use a whole box and use lots of milk. Also if you’d like to try this (sorry, I gave no REAL measurements), but aren’t too sure about the soy stuff, use Mountain High™ vanilla yoguort instead. To make it kinda filling, first add a bit of wheat germ and blend it before adding the vogurt. If using yogurt, you can...

HEALTH NUT

The church I attend has a Fellowship Breakfast. However, because of all the “goodies” that would make me fat(ter), I make a smoothie at home before then. It’s very good (my grandsons love them), very filling, and very healthy. I start out with half a box of Mor-Nu silken tofu. I dump that, a few splashes of lemon juice, a little canola oil, and honey (to taste) in a blender and whiz it til it’s all smooth. I then add a frozen banana or two and whiz it...

Health Nut

I started becoming a health nut when I was about 20 although I had the asperations for a few years prior (reading labels and such). I’ll share a little about what I have learned and maybe even some recipe ideas, OK?
