Ming Tombs (Ming Sishan Ling)
Impressive array...
Like everything in China, this is an enormous complex. Just the walk down the promenade of statues (a progression of pairs of animals, mythological beasts, and humans) is momentous, then you arrive at the gateway to the tombs themselves. This is easily a full afternoon of travel to the spot, and a few hours of walking and exploring the whole of the area.
