5 Most Memoble Meals I've Ever Had

...in no particular order.

I still remember the first time I ate food from Northeastern Brazil, in Salvador. Bahiano food is utterly delicious. Spicy, saucy fish on rice. I was 17, and it sticks in my mind.

I was out one night with the Serial Diners in Toronto (here's my blog post on them ), and we ate at a restaurant that for the life of me, I will never be able to find again. I ate a cuttlefish pasta, the pasta itself was made with cuttlefish ink, as was the sauce. Black, rich, delicious.

In Mountain View, California, I ate a calimari steak at a brilliant, decadent Italian restaurant (I've contacted my aunt & uncle, who took me there, for the name of the place, 'cause it needs a review!).

The first time I ate Greek food – i was 13, and going to visit Greece on an educational cruise (I found a link to the Wikipedia entry on the S.S. Uganda, the ship we were on, 2 years before it went to the Falklands), so my parents took me out for Greek food. I ate octopus for the first time, and there was a belly dancer.

And the very first turkey dinner I cooked, this year, in my first house, as a married woman. My mother was there, and some local friends. Delish, of course!

Haha! It’s a hotdog from Costco! Not exactly gourmet, but delicious!
