Loricat's Reviews
Paris
City of Superlatives
Paris is an easy city for English-speaking tourists to visit, as you don’t have to be an experienced traveler. Two-star hotels are consistently good and affordable, a lot of people speak English, important signage is in English, and the people are quite friendly, especially in the tourist areas. And, the key sights are all within (energetic) walking distance, and easy to find.
And for the experienced traveler, or those who speak some French, Paris has so much to see and do. I would recommend renting an apartment for your stay, to allow yourself to sink into the day-to-day life.
