I’m a recently retired College of Business college professor who believes that the life of a retiree gets better with each passing day. After many years of having my daily (weekly, yearly) schedule determined for me, I feel like a freed bird who can establish my own schedule and change it at a moment’s notice to do anything fun. And fun has a very broad definition from day to day.

Reading international espionage novels, mysteries, and many others types of fiction and non-fiction; traveling to new places and revisiting favorite places; getting together with friends and family; dogs that are loving and obedient; cold weather and snow (but no ice); good friends and good food.

- Rita Rudner and Robin Williams, two of the funniest people ever.
- Your cruise ship sank and you're stranded on a deserted island. What three things do you need?
- Some kind of communication device so I can talk to my friends and family anytime I want; access to the most extensive library holdings in the world, including its internet access; an airconditioned hotel with a fully staffed five-star restaurant and enough room to accommodate my closest friends and family, especially my granddaughters.
- Gusto is picking you up in a private jet. Where are you going?
- EVERYWHERE with the pilot able to take me to the next destination whenever.
