Authentic Blues Joint

What an authentic blues joint this is! Owned by the late great Johnny Lee Hooker, this place really jams with live music every night. It houses a handful of cocktail tables and a full bar. It’s dark as night inside with a red glow to really help you feel it. The sound is excellent and not for delicate ears. My last couple visits I’ve been surprised to find a pop band or two. I don’t know if they are beginning to steer away from the Blues, which has worked for them for so many years or I just happened on a rarity. Regardless it’s always standing room only on weekends and weekdays can be a great time to just hang with some locals and enjoy a cold one. A real thumbs up for local flair.
