review Wynn Las Vegas

Loved the hotel not the after effects!

We stayed at the Wynn for the first time June ‘06. We were amazed by the detail in the hotel as well as the room and spa. The conceirge was a tremendous help with booking all of our meals and shows, we were able to get the best seats and tables! One thing that stood out versus a lot of the other Vegas hotels/casinos was that the Wynn didn’t feel, sound, or smell like a casino at all! This was a huge plus for us considering we went to be pampered and shop vs. gambling and partying. The spa was wonderful as well as the gym and even down to the locker rooms. No stone was left unturned with this hotel. Except maybe dealing with lost & found, security, or risk management! To my chagren 7 items were left in our room after check-out. We rarely use the hotel drawers but this time decided to unpack rather than live out of our suitcase!! Bad Move! Immediately after returning home I contacted lost & found at the hotel they write a report that is to be keep on file, saying that the items haven’t be turned in yet but are hopefull they will be soon. Mind you that the housekeeping staff is responsible for checking all drawers before a new guest checks-in. Phone calls went on for two weeks to lost & found and security and each time I was asked to give the same info over and over!! Ugh! Finally a claim report is filed and sent to risk managment where they denied the claim! They said that they are not responsible for items in the room after check-out or even during the stay and that since we had checked out before noticing the items missing she was dening the claim. O.k. it’s the law but what about customer service, what about acting as though you actually care that this individual will have to replace these items and has had to talk to your hotel 10 times over the last two weeks, what about trying to make some kind of amends to this person so they will visit your hotel again and praise you hotel to others, what about that! Unfortunately this ordeal has left a sour taste in my mouth that may not allow me to stay at this beautiful hotel again which is a shame….just beware of your belongings when staying at the Wynn.
