Cafe du Monde
Tres Bon
Everyone knows of Cafe du Monde. It’s a cute little open aired cafe in the French Market area. Scant menu makes ordering quick and easy. I had a cafe o lait and Nate had the chicory coffee. Good. Of course the bingets were the main attraction. I’m not a huge donut fan so I wasn’t expecting so much. These little airy pillows of light-as-air dough that are dredged in powdered sugar are quite lovely. The atmos. of sax players in the background was nice. One question? Does Cafe du Monde only hire Asian women?
