cheap date

this place is just down the street from our apt and is perfect for a cheap date. we wait to sit in the one table that is semi outside and in the window. it's nice and private. it's a no-frills red-checked tablecloth type of place that's byob, or rather byo wine. we shared a starter of insalate caprese with amazing house made cheese and a pizza that was very un-new york, with a thick crust but very good with lots of fresh veggie toppings. we had a chocolate mousse cake for dessert that was okay. all told, i think the bill was about $15. i heard they have great burgers here, b/c the ottomanelli's are famous for their beef, so ill be back for review 2 on that one.
