A must-see!

A trip to Helsinki just isn’t complete unless you’ve visited Suomenlinna. A castle fortress set across the water from Helsinki, Suomenlinna is superbly impressive. After docking on the island fortress via a ferry, roam the battlements of the fortress for a wonderful flavor of history. Walk around and take in all of the sights it has to offer. Take a picture by a cannon, watch the Finnish flag furl and unfurl over the fortress, marvel at the glass blower’s amazing ability, enjoy a lihapiirakka (meat pie). Suomenlinna has it all. It’s a fantastic piece of history. Read up on it before going to get a fuller appreciation of it. Get those cameras ready and enjoy a fantastic day at one of Finland’s most marvelous attractions.
