Magnificent

St. Paul’s Cathedral is beyond impressive-it is magnificent. Walking inside and looking up at the vast expanse above is awe-inspiring. An amazing sight is watching a choir perform there. The accoustics are amazing and just listening to a choir makes it seem ethereal. For those who are not afraid of a challenge, an excellent experience is hiking up the over 500 steps to get to the top of the cathedral to walk around the outside of the top dome. The 360 degree view of London is utterly breathtaking. But the hike up is not easy. It can take up to 30 minutes to get to the top, depending of the speed of those in front of you. You sometimes walk through very tightly enclosed spaces and at times the steps seem to go almost straight up. But if you can get through it the reward is well worth it. If you are in London, don’t pass this up!
