O'Rourke's Diner

Authentic Diner. Bring the Pepto!

O’Rourke’s is the real deal. This diner was built in the late 1940’s and it oozes with charisma and authentic diner charm. I especially like the individual jukeboxes located at each booth.

The place smells like bacon, cheeseburgers, and french fries. They serve all the typical diner fare but they also boast several different soups and seafood dishes in addition to a variety of baked goodies.

I tried the steamed cheeseburger with fries. Decent but very greasy. (Doesn’t even approach the marvelous burgers at the old Ebbet’s Field in Springfield, MO may it R.I.P.)

It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever eat at but it IS a diner so I guess that’s to be expected. The authentic diner ambiance will leave a lasting impression. The greasy food, not so much.
