Longboat Key

Lovely, low-key island

Longboat is definitely the most chill of Sarasota’s three keys (the other two are Siesta and Lido). Known more for its, ahem, extremely mature population, Longboat also offers beautiful nature trails and biking routes. Wild peacocks roam the island, which is part of its quirky charm until one plants itself in the middle of your path to unfold its feathers. If you’re looking to splurge for dinner, check out Euphemia Haye, which offers exquisite New American fare.
