We went to Montego Bay as a new stop on Royal Caribbean cruise line. Oh man...this was the very worst port I have ever been to in 10+ cruises and dozens of ports. First, I love Jamaica, so I thought this place would be great. Instead, it's filled with taxi/bus driver scam artists hustling for tips. Also, the vendors and "craftsmen" are very aggressive. They are nice to you when you look at their stuff, but get mean and nasty if you walk away. As for the scenery, it is nothing special. It reminded me of Tiajuana instead of a Caribbean island. Avoid Montego Bay at all costs. The water is dirty and the scenery is not worth it. If you go to Jamaica, try Ochos Rios instead.
