2007 is almost here!

pamtriv

I wonder the adventures and blessings 2007 has in store for my family. There will be a lot of changes with my son graduating high school and my daughter becoming a senior. College? What tree is it that money grows on?

2007 here it is ready or not….

Figure 8 Island

ashfree

Current location: Figure 8 Island in North Carolina

Thoroughly enjoying Figure 8 Island with the family for some post-Christmas relaxation time. Seriously wishing that I was able to relax though.  Figure 8 is a tiny gated island with nothing but beautiful homes along the shore.  If you want to get away, this is the type of place to do it.  Unfortunately, my first thought upon arrival was to find Internet connection so I could at least try to get a bit of work done. I...

The Gusto travel Mix on Itunes is in!

sassylaurie

Oh my gosh, They really published this. Apple is selling my Gusto travel mix for appproximately $14.95.  They only included 15 out of 17 songs, not bad. I was telling one of my friends about it.  I said yeah, I made it for my gusto travels, and I even titled it that, do you know Gusto?   She said yes, and she thought it was something she had to go look at now.  So I can really say I got my few minutes of fame, today.  hehehe.  I am laughing myself...

Mornings and life

snogger

As the sun rose, we enjoyed our view. The mornings are chilled, but the views are breath taking.
Relax, enjoy the sunrises and remember:
"Life is too important to be taken seriously".

First time jitters.

tobytobias

Well, this is the first time I am writing a blog.  I do have to admit that I am a little nervous.  Not that many people will ever read this nor will I see their reaction, but it will be out there for the world to look at and wonder…who the heck is this guy?

I wish more people in the US liked to travel, or just took the time to travel.  There are so many people that haven't left their city or state…ever!  Why?  What is so wrong with traveling...

I cannot believe I have not been to this club, but I am going on Friday Night, and I am really stoked. My friend got us some discount tickets, and I could never afford the club on a regular night. It's one off the really trendy seen, and be seen clubs out here, that everyone talks about having been to except for me.  I am almost jumping out of my shos, I am so happy.  I am hoping that this New years is so much better than the last.  I will get pictures of this...

What is up for New Years?

sassylaurie

Well let's see, one of my friends is having a party at a hotel in Campbell.  Another MC friend is having a comedy show with Comedians, streamers, balloons, and champagne at Midnight, and I am joinging his group. Still another friend is hosting a special mystery dinner, and I really can't be at all these places at once. I can't believe how busy my New Years is and it hasn't even started yet.  There's stilla  clubI have got to see, too, but that...

Paris Museum Pass

A blog about Paris, France
Loricat

If you're going to Paris any time soon, and are hoping to see a couple of museums, you need to know about the Museum Pass.

2-, 4-, or 6-day passes, used on consecutive days are 30, 45, and 60 Euros, respectively. Not necessarily cheap, but brilliantly convenient, and easy enough to get full value from.

Let me give you some examples. The Louvre costs 8.50 Euros for the day....

European Winterlust

Beauhemian

Day 1- After visits to 4 different households, a bounty of trinkets and treasure now sits waiting to be officially played with…in two weeks when we get back. Katie and I have finally made it to a relaxing moment amongst all the holiday madness. Trains always take away that stress somehow – once you’re committed to those two hours, there’s no turning back, no muscle memory required. Today we happen to be on the train en route to the gritty little airport that is...

Plans of Future Travels...

jlygrnmigt

My mom keeps saying that she wants to take a vacation with me and my brother now that she's retired.  Here's the problem: I like outdoorsy, active stuff and immersive cultural travel.  I can handle the beach too, as long as it's not a ridiculous beach playing Jimmy Buffett.  Mom doesn't want to be seen in a swimsuit, and can't swim.  Kris likes Vegas.  I oppose it for its overwhelming economic and ecological idiocy.  Mom and I travel every...

Holiday 2006 Travel

Sixy

On Christmas Eve hubby and I are heading west for 9 days in California. We'll be there through Christmas and New Year's, and if all goes well we won't get caught in any of the travel mess the snarled Denver and Chicago. I'm smart enough to book us through Vegas if I can't go direct, especially during the winter.

This will be the first time in 3 years I'm home with my side of the family for Christmas, and I'm really excited! For the past two...

HTML?

Loricat

I've noticed that yes, we can use html in our profiles, but what about in the reviews? If I'm using a foreign word, for example, I'd like to be able to put it in italics. But since we can't preview our reviews, I don't want to experiement, 'cause random sprinklings of <> don't look nice!! :-)

Navigation & Access

Loricat

I'm really enjoying Gusto – but I totally feel the need for some clearer access. If i want to suggest a spot, at the moment, I come to my blog entry on the subject, then copy'n'paste the link in the comment to get to the right page.

If you want this site to be truly useful, you need lots of input from your users – so you need a menu with all of the ways users can act here.

I hear (from Jono @ BzzAgent) that we can review cities...
