Umi Hotel in London - I GIVE IT A BIG GOLD STAR!!!
I traveled to London last month for a long weekend and stayed at the Umi Hotel in Bayswater with a few friends. I’ve been to London several times before but I’ve never had such a pleasant and relaxing stay anywhere else at such an excellent rate. First, the concierge service is phenomenal! She helped us plan each day from morning to night and as a result, we were never bored but we weren’t too busy and overwhelmed either. We were also able to get unbelievable ticket prices the day of f...

Paris ???
I'm planning a trip next year for Paris and London and I really don't want to go to Paris. I know weird huh ? It was one of my wishes to visit Paris when I was studying french but now it just seems like such a boring place to go to. I'm hopng that once I "dust off " my French that my interest in this city will peak. I wonder if I'm afraid because of the language barrier or maybe I'll be bored stiff. Does anybody know of some places to visit or things to do...

Where next?
I just got back from my most recent trip, and now I'm already planning for where I'll go in August for my birthday. I've narrowed it down to either Boston, New York, or London.
I've never been out of the country before, but oh… to haunt the museums in London. And see a play or two…
DAY 2: CONTIKI LONDON
Thursday, July 27th, 2006
At the hotel’s English breakfast, I was just happy I was ok with eating eggs…because they had a lot of them. Scrambled egg whites, regular scrambled eggs, dunken (sunny side up) eggs, and hard boiled eggs. They did have a variety of meat such as patty sausage and regular sausages, but personally, I don’t prefer eating red meat.
DAY 1: CONTIKI LONDON
Wednesday, July 26th, 2006
After we walked out of the gate, to our surprise, we saw a 6-foot, bald-headed Australian holding a sign that says “CONTIKI”. After I hear him speak and joke, he came across as a comical-yet-expressionless k

London Calling
I have been to London a couple of times before and I am itching to go again. I really just want to pick up this summer and go for a week or two, but my husband and I are planning a big trip for next year. How do I justify taking a little trip to London this year when we are saving up for next year? The only way would be if I could find some ridiculously cheap airfare and hotels that even he couldn't say no to. So, does anyone know of any really cheap...
Linking to photos
I want to try to link to a photo that is in my gusto photo album. Will the blog let you do that? Let's see. It doesn't appear that a picture can show. But it seems to allow links.
When we went to London in December, everything was decorated for Christmas. Here is Westminster looking particularly festive

London and Cardiff March, 2004
I've put up some photos from our trip to London and Cardiff in
March of 2004. We spent three days in Cardiff and two in London. It
wasn't enough time and obviously we had to go back!
Look for pictures from our trip in December to be posted soon.
Quick Trip East
Washington DC is a nice place to be this time of year, I'm told. I
had a meeting on Sunday, at the airport, and then took off to
Boston. The purpose of the Sunday meeting was to help create more
Buzz around Gusto Internationally, and our contact got the info and
was promptly off to London for the World Travel Mart. While in
Boston, we stayed at Jurys Boston Hotel, which was great, and ate
at the Atlantic Seafood Company, also superb.
