If you love traditional sea food, this place is excelllent!

We have 2 places we always eat at in Sarasota when we visit, and this is one of them. It is very crowded because the seafood is excellent and is very popular with the locals which is how we found it through my husband’s Aunt.

The decor is basic and very casual with benches and picnic tables and even a roll of paper towels on the table. The selection is just about everything you could want, not fancy but extensive and they have a kids menu for the little ones who will fit right in. I usually get the broiled grouper stuffed with crab and my husband will order various entrees. Sarasota has many wonderful fine dining experiences, but if you have kids and are looking for what my husband calls ‘Down and dirty ” seafood you can’t go wrong here. Even the desserts are good, if you are actually hungry after the huge meal.

Just avoid the parsley potatoes as a side.. the seasoning is strange.
