Russ Park, a closed canopy forest with a 110-acre bird sanctuary, is four blocks away. The inn is within 20 miles of redwood forests, parks, beaches and the historic Victorian seaport of Eureka.
Features. This Carpenter Gothic- style home, built in 1854, features jutting gables, balconies and bay windows. It is surrounded by a one-acre cottage garden, and mature redwood, dogwood, walnut, maple and willow trees in a timeless park setting. The most impressive tree on the property is an ancient California Buckeye. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served each morning, including specialties such as Black Cherry French Toast, Old-Fashioned Custard Bread Pudding and Dutch Babies with Caramelized Apples.
