Summary of The Geisha House
The Geisha House team promises everything from actual Geishas to a “happy ending” and a “climax.” While the lush, sexy interior is certainly beautiful, covered as it is in enormous mirrors, plasma screens, fireplaces and kimono-inspired décor, the only satisfaction you’ll likely find is from the food, which is a notch above most club fare. If chocolate mousse and crème brulee don’t sound particularly exotic or even remotely Japanese, you’ll probably want to skip dessert. Fill up on main dishes of grilled flat iron Kobe beef steak, grilled Alaskan king crab leg or black cod, and don’t forget about the sushi. Located at the semi-seedy intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Cherokee, Geisha House is extremely loud, trendy and young – round up your best fun-to-get-drunk-with pals, rather than your sweetheart, and spend the evening grooving with the in-house DJ. Like Dolce, this restaurant/lounge is backed by Ashton Kutcher, but it’s extremely unlikely that he’ll deign to show up, even if you’re kickin’ back in the Moon Room, a VIP section on the upper floor where the roof actually retracts. But if you squint your eyes at the cute, floppy haired, boy-toy waiters/actors just so, and drink your Shikomi cocktail (sake, midori, lemon and cucumber) real fast, they will all begin to resemble him.
