Long hailed as a Los Angeles tourist must-see, the 40-foot-high concrete donut perched precariously atop a little bakery shack on the corner of Manchester and La Cienega has become the stuff of legends. The tiny place with the big donut has appeared in dozens of ads and television commercials across the globe, and thats not even the reason people flock to the shop – the reason is the donuts. Soft, doughy insides with sweet glazed or frosted outsides, these tasty treats are one of a kind. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, this place is notorious for long lines and harried workers. But one bite (and a good, hard look at the huge concrete donut on top of the building) makes it all worth it.
