"HAVING BEEN A FAN OF CHILI'S OUT IN OKLAHOMA, WHERE I WAS BORN AND RAISED, I WAS EAGER TO TRY ONE OF THE LOCATIONS OUT HERE IN SACRAMENTO. I WAS HOPING THAT IT WOULD BE SOMEWHAT ACCEPTABLE, SINCE I'VE MOVED OUT HERE RECENTLY AND FIND MYSELF SURROUNDED WITH UNFAMILIAR RESTAURANTS. MY BROTHER IN LAW TOOK MY HUSBAND AND I ALONG WITH HIS 3 1/2 YR OLD SON AND OUR 2 1/2 YR OLD SON OUT ON A THURSDAY NIGHT AROUND 6. I EXPECTED TO WAIT FOREVER FOR A TABLE BUT THE SMILING SWEETHEART OF A HOSTESS HAD A TABLE CLEARED, CLEANED, SET AND READY FOR US IN UNDER 5 MINUTES. OUR SERVER APPEARED BEFORE WE'D EVEN FINISHED STRAPPING OUR SON INTO THE HIGHCHAIR AND TOOK OUR DRINK ORDERS. HE ALSO WENT AHEAD AND TOOK OUR APPETIZER ORDER AND WE GOT ALL OF IT WITHIN MINUTES. OUR SERVER PATIENTLY NOTED OUR SUBSTITUTIONS, MADE RECOMMENDATIONS, AND WHISKED US THROUGH OUR ORDERING SO WE WERE LEFT FREE TO CHAT,COLOUR, SIP THE BEST MARGARITAS EVER AND MUNCH OUR CHIPS AND FANTASTIC QUESO. BEFORE WE'D EVEN FINISHED OFF THE CHIPS (MY SON WOLFED DOWN THE QUESO AS FAST AS HE COULD ! HE LOVED IT) OUR FOOD ARRIVED PIPING HOT, JUST LIKE WE'D ORDERED IT, AND DELICIOUS ! OUR SERVER WAITED ON US SO DILIGENTLY, KEEPING US HAPPY WITHOUT HOVERING. WE COULD SEE THAT HE HAD QUITE A CROWD OF OTHER CUSTOMERS AND TABLES, BUT WE COULD ALSO SEE THAT THEY WERE JUST AS WELL CARED FOR. UPON LEAVING, I MADE SURE I GOT THE ADDRESS WRITTEN DOWN CORRECTLY SO I COULD LOOK IT UP ON MAPQUEST AND GET DIRECTIONS ONCE WE GOT HOME BECAUSE I KNEW WE'D BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN AND AGAIN."

"Chili’s is almost always crowded in the evenings, and there is almost always a wait of about 20-30 minutes for tables. If you ask to be seated in the bar area, you might be able to get a table right away, though. Chili’s is fairly new to Lodi, it’s only been open a year or two. The food is good, although not spectacular. They have a big menu, with a lot of choices of sandwiches, soups, ribs, Mexican food, and other things. There’s a full bar, so it become a quite lively later on in the evenings. The restaurant is clean and nice. Because it’s usually crowded, it can take a bit longer than usual to get your food, but it’s not usually too bad. The service is good and friendly. In all, I think this is an okay restaurant, but there are plenty of others in Lodi with equally good food and fewer people!"
