The interactive California Science Center, now in its second phase of development, grows larger every day.  Creative World lets you explore man’s inventions and technologies; you can build a structure that will withstand an earthquake, play virtual soccer or take part in a digital jam session.  The World of Life investigates how living things grow and thrive; you’ll watch baby chicks being hatched or examine human development from a single cell to a fetus.  Take a seat for everyone’s favorite attraction, BodyWorks, where an animated character, Walt, educates you on homeostasis via his buddy Tess, a 50-foot body simulator.  You can also ride a high-wire bicycle and strap up for a cave climb, or just tinker with wind tunnels and solar slot cars.  Tours that go inside aircraft are available at selected times.  Don’t come on weekday mornings, as school field trips make for too much of a crush.  An IMAX and IMAX 3D theater adjacent to the main building offers seven-story-high thrills throughout the day.  The California Science Center is located in Exposition Park, also home to the Natural History Museum, where you can venture next if you want a jam-packed day.  Don’t miss relaxing at the Rose Garden and peeking into the Coliseum sports stadium while you’re there.

"I had a great time at this museum! There are lots of interactive exhibits and cool things to do. Plus they have great temporary exhibits- I went to see “Body Worlds” here, which was an exhibit with plasticized human remains (you have to see it to understand!). At the time I’m writing this, they have a Star Wars Exhibit. I think the temporary exhibits usually cost money, but it’s not very expensive. This is a big museum, with a lot to do!"

"The California Science Center which is located near USC is a great place to go if you want to learn and feel like a kid again. The admission is free and can get pretty crowded especially on weekend afternoons. There are all kinds of exibits and interactive events to play with. There is also an IMAX theater, but I believe you have to pay for that."
