"When I went to LA this summer, instead of staying at a hotel, I stayed at the Grand Spa for $20 a night. This place is soo clean, and they provide everything (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, blowdry, lotion, drinking water). I'm getting off subject but yes, it's very VERY similar to Korea. Lots of good food, and cute stores to shop at.... good bakeries, clubs, book stores, no re bangs.... just go"

"I took a wrong turn in LA and ended up in Koreatown. I have to say, I wasn’t very impressed with it. I went there before I went to actual Korea, but thinking back, they’re rather similar! There are tons of little stores and restaurants here- just like Korea! & all the signs are in Korean, of course- just like Korea! There are lots of people, some good malls, and great galbi the all-you-can-eat BBQ that you grill at your table (my favorite Korean food)- just like Korea! So if you can’t get to Korea, Korea-town is the next best thing. But it’s a distant second- I didn’t find much to do besides shopping and eating! I’m sure there are big celebrations on Korean holidays that would be fun, though, such as on Lunar New Year."
