This world-renowned museum delves into the dark world of racism and prejudice while highlighting the Holocaust as the most extreme example of mans inhumanity to man. Interactive exhibits, two theaters, a research floor and gallery for special exhibitions are just part of the experience and soul you will find here. Tours are self-guided and typically last two and a half hours. Some exhibits recommended for 12 and above. Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors 62 and older, $5.50 for students with I.D. and youth.

Powerful

m8888888's rating:

"This is a really powerful museum. It’s not just about the Holocaust, although that section has the most space, and is the most horrifying. Seeing how people suffered is just heartbreaking. Each visitor got a paper about a Holocaust victim, which really makes what happened more personal. Sometimes Holocaust survivors come to talk at the museum, which is fascinating. There are also sections on civil rights, genocides, sexism, hate crimes, and human rights. It is really sad seeing how evil people can be, and how terrible they are to others. I think everyone should visit here- it may change your perspectives of other groups."

Somber but educational experience.

dgdarien's rating:

"The Museum of Tolerance is famous for its contraversal exhibits such as the one with the gas killings of people. It is indeed an eye opener though, and is an experience that should probably be experienced by everyone. Anyone that lives in Southern California should see the intolerances that people went through."
