"I hope you won’t need to come here, unless it’s not for health emergency, but just to learn more about research! The hospital is nice, although it’s not as new and pretty as some of the other hospitals around, especially those in La Jolla. It’s one of the main teaching hospitals for UCSD medical school. There are a lot of labs all around the hospital doing all kinds of medical research- UCSD is really known for it’s fantastic research departments. I used to work here while I was a student at UCSD, and there are some amazing minds working here! Not much of a tourist destination, but if you have to come to the hospital, you’ll be in good hands!"
