"Hillcrest is known as the “Gay Area” of San Diego. It’s a really cute area, with nice little shops- many of them independent, not chains, and tree-lined streets, and some good restaurants. It’s nice to come and walk around for an afternoon and have lunch or dinner here, and they often have street fairs or festivals."
