Summary of Palm Canyon
If palm trees are Californias floral claim to fame, then Palm Canyon serves as a tribute. Located in Balboa Park, Palm Canyon is open daily to the public and costs nothing for a walk through.Covering two acres, this ravine hosts over 450 palms. There are 58 different varieties gracing the canyon including a special group of Mexican fan palms, which have been growing steadily since the beginning of the 20th century.
