The W San Francisco stands in the heart of downtown San Francisco’s uber-trendy SOMA district, just steps from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and across from the Moscone Convention Center. The W is a short walk from Union Square, home to the city’s ultimate shopping and entertainment venues. The area is filled with an eclectic array of boutiques, theaters, and galleries. The is also located a short distance from Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, and other sights synonymous with San Francisco. The dramatic octagonal, three-story lobby with tinted solar glass and flowing curtains reflects the modern architecture of the W. The hotel stands 46 levels above the street and stands out with offbeat sophistication. The lively, upscale W Cafe and the XYZ Restaurant provide guests plenty of places for relaxing and dining on American cuisine. The W’s guest rooms are a modern and comfortable oasis for guests. Down covered bedding and chenille blankets are perfect for cool San Francisco evenings. Enjoy the view from a banquette right under the window. Amenities include extras like glass water carafes by the bed, deluxe minibars, Bliss bath products, and plush bathrobes. The W is home to San Francisco’s Bliss Spa, where you can watch movies while experiencing the Bliss manicure or pedicure.

Very chic

"W hotels are very chic and modern, which is sometimes a bit much for me, but the one in San Fran has a fantastic spa, Bliss, which was my main reason for staying there. I had a standard room, which was very comfy (down comforters and feather beds) and decorated with black and white photos of the city. The mini-bar had iced tea, which I appreciated, and I got lucky with a room with a good city view – the hotel is in the South of Market district. The hotel really is gorgeous, and the bar and lobby had that that whole hip, beautiful-people vibe going on, but the main perk for me was Bliss. It’s their first West Coast spa, and it’s on the 4th floor of the W. Definitely get the triple oxygen treatment; it’s amazing, as is the hot milk and almond pedicure."
