Summary of Fisherman's Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf
Jefferson Street between Hyde and Powell streets
San Francisco, CA 94133
415-391-2000 (Visitor Information Center)
Tourists flock to the historic Fisherman’s Wharf for its great views, numerous seafood restaurants and plentiful shopping options. You can also take a cruise of the Bay from here, and if you come really early in the morning you might see some actual fishermen, but for the most part, Fisherman’s Wharf is all about capturing tourists’ attention (and their dollars). Still, it’s a San Francisco institution that you should visit at least once. Be sure to stop by Pier 39, where you’ll see some of the hundreds of sea lions that have taken up residence here.
