The California Academy of Sciences’ Golden Gate Park location is closed so it can be rebuilt; it should re-open in 2008. While that location is closed, the museum is operating from this Howard Street location. There is a small sample of sealife from the Steinhart Aquarium here, along with a some exhibits from the Natural History Museum. There’s still enough here for kids to enjoy, but what you’ll see here just can’t compete with the complete collections that will be on exhibit once the California Academy of Sciences moves back to Golden Gate Park.
