Summary of Lucky 13
Lucky 13 could easily win the “best of” in an unpretentious bar contest. Everyone looks better (especially after a few $2 PBRs) in the dim light, and the interior is decked out in the standard black and red décor. The tattooed bartender can mix you a cocktail, but the real draw is the sweet selection of Euro brews (more than 25 on tap). It’s mostly a rocker-punky vibe, but even your Gap-clad Midwestern friend is welcome. The jukebox is the real star at Lucky 13. Leaving no chance for anyone to rock out to Bon Jovi or Journey, the box is filled with Reverend Horton Heat, the Cramps and Ministry. If you’re too hardcore for the city’s smoking ban, there’s a nice and comfy spot to light up without any glares on the back patio. You can also play foosball and pool or even flash someone in the Polaroid photo booth. Oh, and they have free popcorn. Lucky you.
