The ultra-upscale bohemian look is the focus at Planet Blue, a giant Santa Monica boutique with tons of billowy blouses, ruffled skirts and cool tees. You could blow a whole paycheck on a gorgeous Tysa Designs tropical print wrap dress and sporty Joie jacket. The shop also offers linen skirts by See by Chloe, slacks by Ya-Ya and crew necks by Splendid, along with and an array of trendy accessories including metallic jewelry and oversized (and super-expensive) Isabella Fiore bags. The store’s funky vibe shows through its lime green walls, skylights and Japanese paper lamps hanging from the ceiling. It can be a little daunting to try to flag down staffers who are busy chatting among themselves, but just go ahead and butt in – they’ll be happy to stop and help. Planet Blue also has two other locations, in Malibu and Venice.
