National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center
Great museum - but not close to Downtown DC
The new Air and Space museum is pretty good – a HUGE building with lots of planes and spacecraft.
The museum is free but parking is 12 bucks and there is no alternative parking options. Also the IMAX movies and simulator rides require tickets
Expect to spend four hours or so to see everything, certainly not the whole day unless you see every IMAX movie.
Great for locals, but the museum is far from downtown DC and depending on the time of day traffic can be a challenge.
