Important Hotel Information:
The stylish Hoel Helix is, in many senses, on the wrong coast. The hotel borrows unabashedly from Hollywood’s legendary glamour. Black and white art, cool carpeting, and mod swank define this playground for pop culture icons. A trendy location in Washington’s Logan Circle district (in the heart of the 14th Street shopping area) doesn’t hurt, either. This unconventional hotel offers boutique rooms featuring colors from a kid’s cartoon – deep blue, orange, pink and purple. Look for deep blue oddments, striped futon covers, hot green armoires, sinks made from stainless steel, and plush, comfortable alcoves where you can curl up and sleep. Images of pop culture greats such as Little Richard adorn the Hotel Helix’s corridors. You can also see pictures of Stevie Wonder, Steve McQueen and Jayne Mansfield. This hip hangout caters to the grownup kid in all of us with grilled cheese sandwiches to die for, Nintendo available on flat screen TVs and champagne at 5:00 p.m. every day during the week. Explore the funky bar, reminiscent of an ‘80s Lite Brite game, and meet some of the East Coast’s most attractive and distinctive people. Get your shopping fix at nearby Dupont Circle.
