"This is a really cool museum that’s off the beaten path of DC attractions. There are some interesting exhibits on things such as the human body with plenty of specimens that show the impact of various diseases on human organs and tissues. Another exhibit chronicles the history of combat medicine. There’s also a huge collection of microscopes. The museum is located at a military site – the Walter Reed Army Medical Center – so you should definitely visit the Web site before visiting to learn about various restrictions and the best way to get there. Well worth a visit, particularly for adults interested in medical oddities."
