Summary of The Tombs
Every Georgetown undergrad’s destination of choice, the Tombs offers exactly what you would expect from an almost-on-campus hangout: cheap beer, loud music and a raucous crowd. Given the dark and dingy décor, labeling the Tombs a dive bar would probably be an understatement. Still, pitchers running as cheap as $5 are enough to bring in the preppy Georgetown crowd and to keep them packed in like sardines for the duration of the night. A weekday drink at happy hour here is the perfect way to relive your glory days, and the simple and affordable bar food is surprisingly enjoyable. You probably won’t want to stick around long, as it would be tough for anyone who is actually above legal drinking age to enjoy late nights at the Tombs.
