Sure, it’s in the Four Points Sheraton, and yeah, moderate hotel chains usually aren’t known for their restaurants, but Corduroy is a pleasant surprise. The American menu here is interesting and diverse, the servers are amiable and helpful, and the dining room is casual and relaxed. Chef Tom Power apprenticed with Michel Richard at Citronelle, and foodies have known for a while that his excellent and creative use of fresh produce and other quality ingredients is worth going out of your way for; other Washingtonians are catching on. The dining room here often is not crowded (thanks entirely to the restaurant’s location and in no way to its suberb menu), which means you’ll have a quiet place in which to enjoy one of Washington’s best culinary surprises.

komodokd's rating:

"My company had a dinner at the Sheraton and the chef from Corduroy provided the food. I had the salmon which was moist and flavorful. My co-workers had steak and chicken and were not disappointed. I went to the bar at Courduroy after the dinner. It’s a nice spot for drinks after dinner. The bartender made all of the drinks well in a short time."
