This is a festive restaurant, well loved for many years by neighborhood patrons. A recent move closer to Dupont Circle has given it a rooftop terrace for al fresco dining.The dining room has the look and feel of a cozy cafe. The decor is simple, with white walls, white tablecloths and gilt-framed paintings.Blending Spanish, Mexican and Tex-Mex traditions, the menu is strong on fajitas and grilled entrees. Classic paellas and the marinated pork dishes are also excellent.

"The margaritas here can’t be beat. Oh, and they do serve food, but it’s the margaritas you’ll remember. This is a huge space with multiple levels and outdoor seating. However, if it’s a nice day, you should expect to wait awhile for a seat since it’s a local favorite. Of course, that wait will seem a lot shorter as you and your companions drink the pitcher of margaritas you ordered at the bar."
