Summary of Lambda Rising
This gay and lesbian bookshop is a well-established city landmark, having been around more than 25 years. Located just across from the Dupont Circle Metro stop, this busy store carries a huge selection of gay and lesbian books, magazines, cards and videos. Readings and book signings are frequent here. Rita Mae Brown, Alan Ginsburg and David Leavitt are among the many authors who have read at Lambda Rising. Ask inside for a readings schedule. The bookstore also is a good place for gays and lesbians to find out what is going on locally.
