Worth a visit

This was the park that I first started my foray into backpacking. It was a great place to start. The terrain is pretty flat, and the trails all intersect- so you can jump from a long hike to a shorter one pretty quickly. After one day of hiking, we had pretty much been on every trail though. My one complaint is that the trails weren't necessarily as they were marked on the map. If you backpack- don't bother going unless you get site 1. There is also car camping, RV (with electric hook up) and a group site. Its a nice park, about 90 minutes south of the Twin Cities.
