Free Zoo
This is one of the last free municipal Zoos in the country. They are working now on upgrading the exhibits. They have an impressive array of animals. One of the most popular attractions during the summer is the Sparky the Seal show. It is also free. One fun, and kinda gross thing you can do, is feel the seal on seal island- you can buy dixie cups of chopped fish there, and feed them to the seals. Messy, but somehow fun.

The Conservatory is a wonderful option in the winter. I had my engagement photos taken there and there were tons of families there. It is a very relaxing environment where kids can enjoy pond and pools.
