"My family and I just returned from Breezes where my husband and I were married. Although the wedding was nice, much of our stay was marred with “difficulties”. It started with a phone call the Friday before our Sunday departure. The wedding coordinator was new and had no record of our marriage to take place that Wednesday. The only reason we found out was because my sister-in-law was already there and was inquiring about photography for the ceremony. We travelled by Air Transat and the flight was late (both ways). I spent New Years telling the guy at the front desk that my room was unsuitable. No crib (as requested) for my baby, the “sofabed” was bent out of shape and the moldy mattress fell through the frame to the floor when we finally got it open. There was no way I would let my older son sleep on that. The four of us shared the king size bed for two nights as we had four rooms in the first three days. Most of our guests moved rooms for one reason or another, smell, noise, etc. The accommodations are three-star at best. One of our rooms had no hot water for the week, and another room had the sliding glass door fall out and smash on the balcony. This was even after the hotel was warned the door had come off the hinges previously. Had it hit an adult or child there could have been serious injury. The casino was closed for renovations but there was no work being done the entire time we were there. Much time was spent painting the public areas and halls but zero time on room maintenance which is what this resort is in dire need of. Would NEVER return to this resort or one in the chain. Would also never take an Air Transat holiday again."
