"I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan of Sibelius’ music. But I do love his monument! He is the most famous composer in Finland, and I think this monument is beautiful and fitting for a great musician! Really nice to look at!"

Sibelius Monument

"What a very interesting monument this is. It is dedicated to Jean Sibelius, Finland’s most famous and important composer. The monument itself resembles lots of organ pipes in a sweeping formation that seems to resemble the northern lights. Sibelius never composed organ music, but it is very musical in nature. A bust of Sibelius is a part of the monument, though not attached to the pipes. The pipes are all hollow and vary in diameter. It is so very unique and intriguing. The surrounding Sibelius Park is very beautiful. What a wonderful tribute to this master composer."
