Location. The Coombs House Inn (Fla.) is located in the town’s historical district where the Apalachicola River and Apalachicola Bay converge. The historical district features Victorian homes dating back to the 1830s along magnolia-lined streets. The property is convenient to fishing, boating and the beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas.
Hotel Features. This romantic bed and breakfast consists of the Main House, an elegant three-story Victorian mansion and the East House. The wide front door at the Main House welcomes guests into the lofty wood-paneled entrance hall, where an ornate oak staircase curves past leaded-glass windows. There are 13 decorative original fireplaces. English chintz draperies frame large bay windows, and oriental carpets splash color on gleaming hardwood floors. Complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are available for trips to the nearby beaches, and complimentary bicycles are also available. The upper and lower verandas feature rocking chairs and porch swings. Each morning, the Inn offers a gourmet buffet breakfast. Other amenities include banquet facilities, a ballroom, business services, a conference room, event catering and concierge services. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the Main House.
